THE Shoplifter STORY

BUILT FOR
HOME-COOKED MEALS

The story is about GOOD FOOD. Good, nutritious and well-presented meals made mostly at home. Food is an integral component of life or death. Which goes without saying that you eat your food as medicine or eat medicine as your food. With a heavy background from the food sector from his mother and mom respectively, our founder was taught the art of food business from the farms to the kitchen.

In 2015, we came into acclaim with a well-defined feasibility study and market survey. We discovered a food deficiency gap with less people making healthy meals and eating well and healthy. We found out that our lives have become too busy preventing us from cooking and for the most part the time to go to the market to buy what needs to be cooked.

Research shows that the slow insidious displacement of home cooked and communally shared family meals by the industrial food system has fattened our nation and weakened our family ties. In 1900, two percent of meals were eaten outside the home. In 2010, fifty percent were eaten away from home and one in five breakfasts is from a fast food restaurant. Most family meals happen about three times a week, last less than 20 minutes and are spent watching television, chatting or texting while each family member eats a different microwaved "food." Today, the numbers are alarmimg!

Common sense and scientific research lead us to the conclusion that if we want healthy bodies we must put the right raw materials in them: real; whole, local; fresh; unadulterated; unprocessed; and chemical-, hormone- and anti-biotic-free food. There is no need for foreign molecules such as trans- fats and high-fructose corn syrup, or for industrially developed and processed food that interferes with our biology at every level.

One hundred years ago all we ate was local, organic food; grass-fed, real, whole food. There were no fast-food restaurants, there was no junk food, there was no frozen food -- there was just what your mother or grandmother made. Most meals were eaten at home. In the modern age that tradition, that knowledge, is being lost.

We intend to restore that tradition.

We spent 2014, 2015 and 2016 to go through a perfect processed thought to finish starting from surveys, feasibility studies, market and farms partnerships to branding to product and service packaging with a good go-to-market strategies and execution framework. By 2016, we did a test run and then focused on other projects then COVID happened and the LOCKDOWN restrictions were here and we took the genuine risk to suddenly jumpstart the brand it was an enabling experience. We ran ONLY on socials, it was deliberately a huge success then pressures of a running a startup with backup funds for revolving operations and we had to stop to harness the experiences and FULLY tech integrate and relaunch
